Am I on the right lines if I can picture the front end being bashed by a frustrated Basil Fawlty?
Spoiler: show
Morris 1300?
(Editted to add in a clip :) )

Looks about right to me certainly one in that range, could be a Vanden Plas 1300 Princess I suppose.

What is the make/model of this car (edited out of the pic) :?:

Not intended to be too difficult

Thanks for the attempts Matt and Gibbo, definitely on the case but the model/make is very specific.

Not that Steve, need the exact name edited out of the pic. Which Mick has just got!

Here's another view of the same make/model.

Ah, well I'm going to move away from (less posh?) Morris and, given I can see pop out rear side windows and (possibly synthetic) leather seat top,
Spoiler: show
Wolsey 1300 is my next guess

Mick got the answer right in his spolier Matt but I'll guide you to it if you want to play on. I came across it from reading a post on the FCF, at least one member mentioned they had one at one time.

Have a look at the rear lights looks like a colour is missing...

Thanks Neil, must have posted at similar points.
(Sorry for all the spoiler use, trying not to let the cat out the bag if anyone else is playing later)

Realised I kept incorrectly calling it the 1300 but it is really the
Spoiler: show
1100
but I'd definitely never heard of the
Spoiler: show
Austin America variant before today!

Think it's strange they are such a rare car, like a mini but just a sensible amount of extra room and comfort over the mini which is a bit uncompromising in some ways

I think we are pretty much done on it yes that's it Matt. Here's a crop of different colours from this website ( plenty of info on it there!)

From the first cars thread a recent post...

My very first car (in the US) was a '69 Austin America automatic (you perhaps know them better as an MG 1300), which were fairly popular in the US at that time. This car had a curious arrangement where the engine oil and transmission were run from an 8 quart common sump. I was a stupid teenager and didn't get the cassette oil filter seated properly once and when I started it I had about 4 quarts of fresh oil running down the driveway. Never made that mistake again.

Can't imagine many people will have seen an indicator like this. Quite unusual maybe makes it easier to get.

The only car I can think of with that type of wing mirror and side mounted indicators with a flattish bonnet would be the Austin Maxi? :?:
However the bulge in the wing doesn't fit but I'll go for a more general Austin/Morris?

There's one parked beside my car when I took the crash pictures.
I thought the mirror looked familiar but from the angle I took it it is impossible to discern whether it is or not.
