Probably very very easy, modernish era, but I admit I had to look at its rear to find out what it was :-D Don't associate the marque with pop up lights at all...

Beat me to it Mick... I agree it's likely a 480.

A little bit more about the Volvo 480 here at wiki
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volvo_480

The Volvo 480 is a sporty compact car that was produced in Born, Netherlands, by Volvo from 1986 to 1995. It was the first front-wheel drive car made by Volvo and the only Volvo featuring pop-up headlights. The 480 was available in only one body style on an automobile platform related to the Volvo 440/460 five-door hatchback and four-door saloon models.

It features an unusual four-seat, three-door hatchback body, somewhere between liftback and estate in form. The 480 was marketed as a coupé in Europe starting in 1986.
..and a Falcon original of the front view with the pop-up lights...but do they still pop down :?:

If you crouch down low, there's a familiar Volvo grille, right at the bottom.

1.7 engine, Renault origins? And in zoomy turbo form there. They rust well from what I've read

Thanks Matt, nice extras. I always regard a car's appearance on the thread as its moment in the spotlight to find out a bit about it...

It was indeed, as were many of my splatterings across a few threads. Sunday car club week before each auction.

Here's another one to try...I photographed the badge and a shady photographer :-D but do have a little more, but the shrewd detective can always get it from the catalogue which I would regard as initiative and all is fair in love and whatsthisthens?

Interesting this, the only thing that I can think of was the Fiat X19 Special Edition known as a Bertone Torino but as far as I can remember there wasn't one in the catalogue when I looked at it last week. On the phone at the moment so a review not viable for my eyes!! Hence I'll guess at a Fiat or Alfa of some sort? :-D

The rest Mick which reveals you are spot on! Yes and not in the catalogue (so a bit of false info there apologies), but the bit in the windscreen says "Available to buy it now...ask in the office.

Our doctor had one of those. He drove it through the bus station (busses only) and smashed it into a bus, shattered both his legs.
Girl I worked with was standing on a bridge of the road and saw it happen.

He was the one who said to his nurse that my wife "Has babies like shelling peas" when she went to tell him she was expecting her fifth and was having it at home and not to argue with her.
