Re: Citroen C5 can not connect to Bluetooth
It seems you need a blue tooth adaptor, one of mine has got one but haven't tried it yet, the other hasn't. Its a small box stuck on the dashboard.

Re: Citroen C5 can not connect to Bluetooth
Post your VIN up - you won't need an adaptor - the Head unit will either support or not support a bluetooth connection - depending on what you have.
If you have the basic RD4 system, then there was a hands free kit available; before the RD45 system was fitted which incorporated Bluetooth. All other later telematic systems already support Bluetooth except the RT4 which uses a SIM card. I'll know what, when we have your information.
If you have the basic RD4, your options are to fit the official hands free kit, upgrade to an RD45 Head unit or later full telematics system, or get a separate third party hands free kit.

Re: Citroen C5 can not connect to Bluetooth
I'm not sure which display shows the tel options on the c5, If it's the top one (small non sat nav) it may be that it has had a screen replacement in the past. My 407 screen died (Borg unit, white plastic at the back). I replaced it with a Johnson Controls (black at the back) and set it up in Diagbox but I lost the tel option. I then found another in a car with tel option, fitted that and I got my tel back. Although the car has the option in the radio it needs a multifuntion display that recognises it.

Re: Citroen C5 can not connect to Bluetooth
Okay so confirmed, you have the RD4 system only. So you also do not have the hands-free telephone kit additional module installed, so would either need to upgrade to an RD45 system, that has built-in Bluetooth and audio streaming, or source an aftermarket alternative.
Furthermore, depending on the software version of the display screen, you may need an upgraded unit if upgrading to the RD 45 system. Some of the original screens do work if they are of a higher enough software level.
You can get FM transmitters that can output a telephone call from a smart phone through the FM module which you then tune into your radio, this then outputs phone calls through the cars audio system.
The steering wheels are commonly used throughout the different trim levels, therefore the telephone icon is normally used to answer or make telephone calls with vehicles which are equipped with an RD 45 or a full telematics system. Without this the button has no function.
Edit @Tiagovp - apologise, I had put 'RD45' in the first line, but I meant 'RD4' and have corrected this now - so all correct now Thanks for reminding me Steve.

@ mbrn1111
You have the RD4 system and from your VIN, no hands free kit fitted. So no bluetooth, which is probably the reason why you can't get it working.

Re: Citroen C5 can not connect to Bluetooth
Hi
I’m new on this forum so any help would be appreciated.
I have just bought a 2008 C5 tourer and want to know what the options are for Bluetooth and being able to make calls.
I have seen the post that where the type of unit can be determined from the VIN
My vin is VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff].
Thanks in advance
