Hi Folks

I'm not a French Car Forum Regular, however some of you will know me from Club XM, and the CCC.

I'm having a bit of a car cull and clear out at home, and along side the 2.5 Xm, I am breaking this Xantia.

This car has 200k on the clock, and been in my family since 9k miles. All electric windows work, electric mirrors work. A reconditioned starter was fitted to this car last year. I also have a pair of Navy Blue series 1 wings, and a matching Navy Blue series 1 grille.

If you require any parts. Please get in touch. Please note that the car is in Northern Ireland.

Parts are well priced, I am not greedy, I just want as much of the useful parts of this car to go to some use, as opposed to being dumped. I no longer run a Xantia, so most of this is surplus to my requirements.

Would you not sell the cars whole as there looks to be very little needed to get it roadworthy again? just a bumper!

That was the intention, but...

It has done 200k Miles, and is virtually impossible to start. The last time it was got running was by pulling it along the road with the tractor to jump start it. Took bloody agges, and thats how it no longer has a front bumper. The rope was attached to the towing eye, and it got pulled off and took the bumper with it.

It looks a lot better in the pictures than what it is in reality. The car is wet there so the paint looks very shiney.

The front of the car is damaged, if you look at this picture, you'll see the metal strip that went across the front of the car that had the towing eye on it has been pulled off, and damaged the other panel it was welded too.

Also the bonnet and grille are a lighter red than the rest of the car (I slid into a ditch in this car a couple of years ago). The starting problems are more drastic than no pre-heating. It would jump start easily with no heater plugs. This is a compression issue or fuel injection pump issue.

Most of it works! Thats the annoying thing. If I hadn't wrecked the front end when trying to start it a couple of weekends ago, it would have sold as a whole car, and could have been returned to service. However it owes us nothing, and I have too many other cars to have contemplated sorting its starting issues and keeping it for myself.

Folks,

There are still a lot of good spares available on this car.

Working Electrc mirrors
Working Electric window regualtors
Working Central Locking
All switch gear is good
New front indicator lenses were fitted to this car last year.

The engine, and ABS system are no longer available.

have you got the little spool thinigy that sits behind the steering wheel and connects the airbag and steering wheel controls aswell as canceling the indicators, the steering column cowel and the mouldings that cover up the fuses etc on the drivers side? how much would you want for them?

Hi,

The airbag and radio control slip ring has been sold now. All the other piece of trim from the steering column, and lower dash panel at this side are available.
