Is it only for reading or can you change any the values i.e can you use it to tell the ECU that the particulate fluid has been topped up.

Mainly for monitoring. I'm hoping some features that you mentioned may be added in the future.

I'm thinking of trialling this so I can have readouts to live data while driving and for tuning purposes

Is there a list of fully-compatible adapters as it's clear not all (clones) are made equal and I have only seen mention of one type - ELM327. Are there others or is this the goto device the app was built on?

This is the one I purchased from fleabay and it works fine with both FAPlite on android and other apps on my iPhone 7. At under £7 its great value.

I have emailed the developer asking if s/he will be able to add new features that allows us to change values on the car. I also directed him/her to this discussion, so hopefully s/he will join and give us more details.

Thanks for the review, it may be just what I need and looks like a nice small footprint too, and it's WiFi not BT.
I wonder how it copes with the paid version of the app which offers more functionality?

I think it should work just the same as it can read the info from the car, it's the phone and app that does the hard part rearranging the info into something we can read on the screen.

Yeah, they can all read the standardised OBD protocols, it's the proprietary PSA systems that talk a different language & where the nitty-gritty takes place. That requires specialised interfaces AFAIK, like the Lexia clones for instance.

I'm eager to read Gibbo's experience of the PSACOM unit he's ordered.

I understand that but the FAPlite must already read the specialised interfaces that pug/citroen use as it gives more info than a standard OBD reader. Dont quote me on that tho as I'm no expert lol .

I won't be getting that after all, it got 'lost in the post' Jim says that Royal Mail will only tell him "It's in the system." so he's going to replace it with a different more expensive item as a goodwill gesture, same PSA set up but also Audi VW etc.

I'll let you know how it goes but it won't be soon.

Pity, I was more interested to know what software it interfaces with to achieve all that it claims (ie dealer-level diagnostics) as there's no mention of it from any vendors I've looked at.
I had a quick look at ED's site and note they're "out of stock" of the PSACOM device, and I couldn't see any product that resembles the alternative you say they're going to send you.

This is all I know about it so far Mike;

>Sorry to hear you haven't got the interface. As you are a valued
customer I would like to offer you a free upgrade piece of kit.
>It covers all Citroen Peugeot exactly the same as PSACOM and also
covers all other manufacturers. Ford,Vag,Vauxhall,Mercedes,BMW,to name
a few.The interface is also USB or Bluetooth and can be used on any
Windows 32bit or 64bit. The software also has the added benefits of
AUTODATA built into it.
>Normally I charge £175 for it but I am prepared to offer you it
totally free of charge as a gesture of goodwill.

Got hold of the OBD adapter only to find FAPlite doesn't support my ECU.
