Auxiliary belt F4R-700 and F4R-736? Both 5PK1750?

Post by Axa »

Hi.
It would be very helpful if someone with access to Renault parts list tell me what type of Auxiliaries belt an F4R736 should have? 5PK1750?

Reason I ask are because our F4R700 engine shows un-normal wear on the edge of the oilsump that indicates that the Auxiliary belt, before failure have been running wrong way around the waterpump. Causing the belt to oscillate and derail into the timing belt.

Best regards Gunnar

If you check the Gates or Dayco sites, their part no. should be there. Once you get that you can google cross reference part sites that should take you to the Renault part No. Failing that you can ask a main dealer for the part no. ? The belt will most likely be made by Dayco or Gates anyway...........in a Renault box.

Thanx Lexi! Dayco dont list Any Renault. But Gates did http://www.gatesautocat.com/drive/RENAU ... 0-03/29102" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Our car did have the correct 5PK1750 belt http://pic.ctapps.de/web/en/ART_04006_e ... ID=5PK1750" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Now derailed due to its been mounted the wrong way,
F4R730, 732 and 736 uses a different shorter 6PK belt.
