Bluetooth problems

Post by welshguy »

Hi,

I have a 2014 Citroen Relay 2.2 and I have a problem with the bluetooth. It did start to play up a bit a while ago, every time I tried to connect was telling me that couldn't find the connection; Now has stopped altogether, there is no connection and the switches on the steering wheel, other than the volume and the track selector, do not work and the odometer started flashing therefore every time that I have to use the phone I have to stop and switch off the engine.
Any thoughts?

Thanks

Yes, a common problem - these have a completely annoying Fiat system in as they are Fiat Ducatos essentially.

I did a bit on this issue witht he Fiat influence on this post - read it through to the end as you will see it also happens on the other FIAT affair - the NEMO:

viewtopic.php?f=48&t=58900

I have no documentation on these systems as they are mostly FIAT systems.

The VIN is on the log book or outside on windscreen passenger lower corner in the cutout. It will begin VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff] and is 17 alphanumeric in length.

Ok,m so you have the RD45 in your C3.

A couple of things you can do:

1) Unpair all bluetooth phones from the RD45 and your Samsung Galaxy 10.
2) Try again to pair the phone
3) Make sure you select the correct Bluetooth profile when pairing and make sure you enter the correct pin within the time if asked.
4) Be aware that it will take some time for the RD45 to synchronise contacts and address book info - so no good expecting to have it all there instantly - it can take half an hour or longer depending on the amount of information and music you have.

The Galaxy S10 is not one of the phones tested by PSA to guarantee compatibility - bu that does not mean it shouldn't work. Make sure you are on the latest phone software.

There are no fuses / switches to reset apart from a BSI reset:

BSI Reset / Battery Disconnect / Reconnect Procedure

As for the mileage - are you sure you're not getting one of the trip counters mixed up with the main mileage counter - the odometer will always maintain total miles, but the other displays are for Trip 1 or Trip 2, or could be the miles remaining on fuel left in tank or even miles to next service etc.

Do you not have a handbook for the car?
