After searching high and low I found the SIM in the glove box - bought a sim for 99p as I thought that had something to do with the GPS [emoji23] further reading and I found out it was for the internal phone [emoji849]

The Internal phone needs a SIM for the Emergency system to work but can also be set as the default phone if preferred over a Bluetooth phone.

That's right but they work through the same aerial. They probably have separate feeds between the radio and the aerial unit but it would be interesting to know.

I've not done it myself, I use Bluetooth to connect, but you could try using your ordinary mobile phone's SIM. Assuming you have a mobile phone of course.

Is there anything you don't know?!

I prefer the Bluetooth to be honest, although I wouldn't mind the emergency system just in case. I have a random SIM which doesn't have the same number as what I have but I guess that doesn't matter?

No doesn't matter, as long as there is some credit on there.

There's a voice command training programme on there too when you get the other issue solved!

Ah ok, so I just need to put some credit on the SIM card for it to work the emergency thing.

Did the C5 only come with a beige headlining?

Yes that's all you need. Just don't press the SOS button unless an emergency as it goes through to emergency services!

I think beige was the only colour AFAIK.

There is a stolen vehicle tracker unit behind the dash on some models. It uses the built in phone to communicate I think.

I turned off locations on my phone and GPS tracking stopped! I should have known better!

Make sure you insert the card with the engine and ignition off first, as it can throw a wobbly.

Il brave the cold and try it in a bit but don't hold out much hope with the luck I'm having with this car!
