Abs pump replacement 307

Post by PepotUK »

Hey guys! I have a peugeot 307 and have an abs fault. Pp2000 pointed to a C1381 abs pump fault. Managed to get a replacement from scrappers but need installation. Anyone knows a reliable mechanic in hertfordshire who does that? Or anyone of you guys who can help me? Lol. Willing to pay. 2 garages has rejected me saying it is "too specialized" lol. Thanks!

The Haynes book of tall tales says it's 4 spanner job, that means you have to be able to walk upright and count to 11 without taking off your trousers. I'd say it is doable at home, take your time there's a bit of stuff to remove to get at it.

It's not just a straight swap I'm afraid - if you have bought the entire ABS module complete with ECU!

The ECU attached to the ABS pump is coded to your vehicle and set up with the correct options for your car. The pump must be the same part number as your own one (put your VIN up if you need the correct part number).

Secondly, if you use your own ECU from the ABS pump you already have and assuming that the ECU itself is not faulty, then you can swap the ECU from your original ABS pump to the donor pump module. BUT - it is important you have the correct ABS module for your 307 as some of these are ESP and ABS modules combined and are available in different versions which need to be compatible or you will likely have problems.

Hello. Yes I was able to get the correct part number via VIN. I just need someone to help me do it as apparently needs pp2000 to bleed etc?

Ok, so the bleeding and the fitting is a separate procedure. But also as I said in my last post - you will also need to configure it to your vehicle with PP2000 if you are not using your old ECU.

Aye, thanks for that pal. That's the problem I know have. Dont have pp2000 nor anyone near me haha. French garage near me quotes 312 for it and says it is not a guarantee that it will fix the problem. Though their planet states c1381 which is abs pump fault and p0606 ecu fault. So im at a loss haha.

Do you have your VIN so I can look at those codes in more detail?

307 RESTYLING 5 DOOR SALOON 1.6 i 16v 110 (TU5JP4) 4-SPEED AUTOMATIC GEARBOX

P0606 is an uncharacterised Engine ECU fault - so nothing further on that one.
and C1381 is not present in any fault diagnosis I have, so very sorry, can't be much help on that front.
