You can post the VIN - it is obscured for all but FCF staff - who are the ones who need it.
Could you replace the passenger airbag with one from a scrapyard - if it is the airbag - could it be the seatbelt pre-tensioner?

Faults on the passenger air bag are quite unusual on a Xantia.
The clock spring to the drivers air bag is a common failure, maybe you should try disconnecting the drivers and passenger air bags in turn to check that the correct fault is being reported?
