Injector re-build and calibration (by a good diesel specialist - eg a Bosch service centre) could be less than £100 for the four.

These can’t be refurbed, they need replacement, and I have been told the price quoted is cheap for injectors. If you see GiveMeaBreak’s post n my thread titled” faulty anti pollution warning light” , these injectors cost new from Citroen, over £300 each exchange.

I wouldn't have them refurbished, I'd have them remanufactured, and as Chris suggests, by a Bosch centre as they not only have the right testing and calibration rigs, they'll also use any upgraded parts that may now exist.

You can find your local service centres if you scroll to the bottom of the page and search your area. https://www.boschcarservice.com/gb/en
If anything, give them a call for a friendly chat about your issues - it's always worth getting a second opinion in my book.

The injectors are Bosch and there are new and Exchange parts listed with Citroen - but of course will be available elsewhere.

The official prices for the parts are listed below as of today:
New Injector Part No: 1609850180 Citroen cost £482.18 inc. VAT excluding refundable surcharge.
Re manufactured Part No: 1609850280 Citroen cost £368.89 Inc. VAT excluding refundable surcharge.

Are you not tempted to get a new set of injectors from ebay? they should be a lot cheaper.

Surely all injectors failing together is a sign of something else... maybe the solenoids are being overdriven by the ECU due to a fault?

I think saying the injectors are bu**ered is a pretty general statement to be honest - there are a lot of specific fault codes for injector failure for the DV6UTED4 engine - and I would expect anyone to have at least attempted to see if any of the fault codes are listed first of all to be honest...

Some examples specific to this engine and injection system:

P1367 - P1369 for Injector voltage too low
P1197 Injector control ECU internal fault
P0262, P0265, P0268, P0271 for short circuit faults
P0201 - P0204 for Open Circuits

Find it hard to believe the van would even start if all injectors where faulty. Even with one being faulty they don’t start. Fuel systems now run at very high pressure normally fuel pressure sensor has to see correct pressure in system . If injectors are faulty it’s because they generally leak internally thus preventing correct fuel pressure which would prevent staring.

Agree - all four don't fail together, but they may all fail to be driven/supplied.

... Which is why we're back to where there should be a fault code being returned Chris if this is the case. Perhaps your mechanic was generalising Rich - and didn't mean all 4 injectors....

The diesel centre that did the initial work, are Bosch and Siemens specialists, and have given me the print off from the test machine. It means nothing to me , just figures, but my mate who I spoke of last night, is a mechanical, engineer, and he scrutinised the report in detail, and said what the garage said is correct,. He understands what they all mean, I don’t., and I have known him for 7;years,he has helped me numerous times with my Rovers when I had them, so I trust his judgement totally. He was the one who recommended the garage in the first place. He has used them for years for any injector work, and said he has never known them be wrong. The last time the van was out in a diagnostic machine, the result came back as faulty MAF, and open circuit on no 4 injector, this was the leaky one.

Ok, well you seem confident in them, which is the main thing. Good luck getting them replaced and I hope they are not too expensive. Will they be covering this under your warranty?

No t the garage I bought it from Marc, the garage that did the injector clean, are the Bosch specialists who will be doing the job £120 each plus vat.

If all four are not working correctly could it be here are not getting fuel at right rate, or have you got dirt in the system that has found its way to the injectors, if you change them without knowing why all four have failed at about the same time then chances are the new will fail as well. I would ask the people that fit the new ones so if they fail you can say I did ask before you fitted them
