Hi, can anyone please tell me the location of the common fuel rail sensor and the boost sensor for my 2010 Citroën C5 2.0Hdi x7. I ordered a TDI tuning chip but cannot find the connectors. : :rofl2: pictures will help alot

The other chap hasn't posted anything else since that question when he joined last year; but in my case it was a bit of testing really to satisfy myself that they are a waste of time and they are IMO. Mine wasn't exactly cheap £300-400 IIRC, and used on a C5 MK II 138 HDi.

It made no difference at all and to be honest actually caused rough running. I removed it after a few weeks and returned it under warranty I'm glad to say and will never use one again.

Did you ever try HDI-Tuning.
I'd like to get a bit more from the Xsara, but at 18yo with 190k I'm not sure that it would be worthwhile - even though I'm going to run it into the ground. £150 for remap to 120BHp & 270Nm. Unfortunately I'm too far away for the £200 service with diagnostics and test.

I assume someone on here would have tried them?

Shortly after that experiment I decided against any tuning on the grounds that at a £1000 a pop for a clutch and DMF minimum, that I didn't want to put anymore stress on the components after having them done on both C5s with these engines. 140BHp is fine for my needs and provides stacks of power when I need it and secondly as it's all hills here, economy is already pants. I'm lucky if I can maintain 42 MPG, but more often it's 40 tops.

Would £150 for their stage 1 remap be suitable for my car? It's a bit gutless and for the sake of £150 would hopefully be a better drive. Can remaps be done without having the car there on the rolling road?
Citroen Xsara 2.0 HDI Stage 1 Remap - 120 BHP

This remap is designed to go straight on to a standard HDI engine without any modifications required. Peak power will be 120 BHP and max torque will be 270Nm @ 2500 RPM. The stage 1 remap offers great performance, driveability and safer overtaking. On top of this you can expect to see economy gains of 3-5 MPG on average.

A personal choice, but the only way for sure is to try it - although I'm not sure they'll refund you if you aren't happy with it. Don't forget you need to inform your insurance company of the extra power or you'll likely nullify your cover if you don't.
