Plan to do engine swap from 2.0l hpi to regular 2.0l 100kw engine.
Will it fit and what do i need to know?

The obvious things to do first would be to compare the other components for compatibility, such as gearbox (although they may be similar they do have variations between them based on engine), Injection ECU (very important), clutch etc if manual as examples.
If you have the VIN codes from the original HPI and the donor engine, we could help determine main differences between the 2.

I would think that generally, with the electronics systems built into modern cars, that engine swaps are becoming very difficult, and only possible if the donor car is of similar model, year and specification. You will probably need to swap several ECUs and wiring harnesses over, so you would really need a complete donor car available.
