Im hoping to have my 2.1 SD Manual XM on the road ready for the X rally in Peterborough...

Then in September I hope to have my 24v S1 Manual on the road to bring to CXM Rally in Little Horwood, Milton Keynes...

oh and another thing if you really want to see ur car...buy a obdII (obd2) bluetooth reader plug it in to ur diagnosis socect by the fuses inside..go to google play on ur smartphone or android phone and look for an app called torque...its an app to read all the real time data from the car and you can have upto 8 10 at a push dials of real time data...boost pressure engine load speed acceleration it goes on and on! buy a 7 inch tablet with bluetooth mount it by the face vents (with them off as the tablet would get hot) and have fun! i love mine!

Me too! The Xantia ('96 1.9Td sx estate) passed the MoT ten days ago with an advisory on "Slight corrosion starting by offside front sphere mounting underbonnet" Today working on the head gasket marathon, under the N/S/F wing I noticed a bit of rubber sagging under the weight of muck between the 2 outside strut top mounting bolts. The muck was a load of rust - there does seem to be some metal under it - but how long for? Looks just like the picture Taffy posted this afternoon

OK, so I need a Kingas rebuild, but I'm guessing that he 're-rubbers' customers' mounts that have sound steel components? Sound like a careful trip to locals scrappy to hunt for a sound O/S strut mount as soon as the car is back on the road. But I can't find any contact details for Kingas on the web. Can someone who has used him provide some details please?

The SD 2.1 is a mechanical Bosch Pump setup just like 1.9 TD xantias... Its pretty brisk in MANUAL form, and early cars pre CATALYST will do around 45mpg.... Its a 12v (3 valves per cylinder design) and are a rather good engine!

the S1 PRV 24v is actually 200bhp, with 0-60 in 7.5 seconds, and 155mph! And I know becuase Ive done it!

yes a very good engine and pump! i told a mate to buy a xantia in early days and i had a 1.9td and so did he...i had bosh he had lucas...he still slags it off lol! wow really thats a hell of a flying carpet then!

is kingas...ive emailed them about the service and it sounds very good...if u do it i would take ur car off the road and send urs off as its provin very difficult to find even secondhand ones as scrap yards just scrap em cause they dont generate a fast return...ive even left my number at scrap yards if they get a xantia...if you read this post u will see its a hidden trap so really needs checking as thougholy as u can...if u can though jus take urs off ive wasted money on wrong ones already

Im OK.. Ive got a good few pairs of old ones for reconditioning in my shed!!

About 5 sets... Plus if no one buys the White L reg TD Ive advertised on here that will be another pair, and Ive also got one more Series Two Xantia to scrap prehaps next year, with VERY GOOD tops on it...

So Im on top of the supply of knackered ones for re conditioning...
