Alarm Update

I have finally found the fault on the alarm. I mentioned a bit about it on my previous post about locating the ecu (at the time I couldn't locate the fault so I wanted to disconnect the alarm). Anyway I have traced it to the boot lock so I took of the boot card and closed the boot and set the alarm. Now all is o.k until you push against the boot lid (from inside) then it activates. If I close the catch with the boot open nothing happens. So there is some play in the boot catch and when it is closed under pressure from the rubber seal the switch is only just being pushed in. Looks like I need to get myself a new boot catch.
