http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... eName=WDVW If it was closer to home I would have had a bid. Good idea putting a Diesel in a 4X4 BX. I take it Citroen never did this.

Reminds me of many years ago watching a yank Microsoft educational film on TCP/IP when they were trying to turn me into a software tech. The bloke in the film kept on going on about the "Router" but the yanks pronounce it like we pronounce the word used to describe a woodworking tool. I laughed out loud in the very serious class full of young technowhizzes and asked "whats a woodworking tool got to do with TCP/IP?" It did not go down well at all...
Maybe thats why I became an IT Hardware engineer rather that persueing a career in software...

I've had some pretty lengthy debates with various people about the joys of BX 4x4's.
As far as i'm aware most parts including the transfer box and input shaft are still available from Citroen, albeit at HUGE cost. How does 2500pounds grab you for a re-con transfer box?
I do know however that exhausts are NOT available. Aftermarket suppliers never bothered and citroen dont have any left, at least for UK supply anyway.
You can obviously get round this with a custom made item.

When I bought my 4x4 it came with a fully welded one-piece system: a joy when it came to dropping the front pipe to change the manifold joint!
What did surprise me though was its (lack of )cornering ability: my standard Xantia goes round roundabouts a LOT better

4x4's usually only grip better in the wet, but often understeers earlier than the standard version in the dry.
