Trouble with my Britney Sphere's!
Hi every one I hope someone can help. First thing, I will be doing a LHM fluid change in the summer the car has done 65'000 miles so would I need to do a hydra flush first? My next problem is the rear n/s does not absorb the bumps and thuds quite badly on bigger or deeper bumps in the road. Looking at other posts in a search I have come to the conclusion that the sphere that I fitted last year may be duff would I be right in saying this and should I wait until I have done the fluid change before I change/check the sphere. Any help welcome Thanks Alec.
depends on the colour of the fluid and whether you can be bothered really. I've just hydraflushed mine and despite the LHM previously being green the ammount of muck that came out with the hydraflush was very surprising. I would advise doing it tbh. Then you know it's done and won't need to do it for a while. It will help with the performance of the system and also help preserve it.
Could be that the spheres are duff, could be that whoever fitted them put completely the wrong spheres on! I'd take it to a specialist such as westroen and insist they hydraflush and put new spheres on. This will involve two trips to the specialist as the hydraflush has to stay in for at least 250 miles. I left mine in for 1k. To give you an idea of what you should be paying my complete new set of spheres supplied and fitted were £150, hydraflush £14 for the fluid and £30 to do it, and then £20 to remove it and put new LHM in (LHM included in the price).
It sounds to me that at the very least the spheres are not at the correct pressure and new one's or repressurisation is essential.
