Post by xantiagreen »

Need a couple of litres of LHM + for the xantia as it's leaking, I did see a code for GSF 33% off everything it worked on Monday but invalid now, 5 bottles of total lhm + for £21 including delivery, can't find anything cheaper than £23 for 5 litre tub theres couple of brands Delphi, Comma yellow tub and Comma grey tub.

Cheers

£23 (ish) for a 5L can (Delphi+) was the best I could find a couple of weeks ago. For the last 7 years at least, I've used Delphi simply because it's what the nearest local factor stocks, they deliver 4 times a day and they've always been as cheap as anyone else when I've needed some.

GSF can get 5l packs in (next day) but not shown on their website, so give your local branch a call and ask to check price?

Was looking at Delphi but not sure if it was decent stuff but if you've used it for 7 years without a hitch then it's got to be ok stuff. Cheers

Liverpool closest branch will call them in morning if they can do 5 litres of Total lhm+ for under £23 including delivery I'm happy otherwise it's Delphi. I suppose if I wait a couple of days there should be a weekend code with popping up can't use gsf 25 code, I thought LHM was part of a service schedule.

Just to let you know, it's not Total LHM they do in 5l packs, it's another brand (can't recall off the top of my head whether it's Delphi, Morris, or something else).

The last 1 litre can of LHM I bought from GSF Liverpool, albeit 5 yrs ago :( was by Morris.

You are aware GSF relocated from near Rice Lane flyover to Aintree Ind. Estate

No matey I wasn't even aware that was the closest branch I assumed Blackburn/Bolton/blackpool would be nearest. They may appear, just like Eurocarpparts

Had to make do with Comma's LHM+ at £6 a bottle from local store was desperate, but I'm still hoping theres a decent voucher code for bank holiday at GSF I hope it's a 30% code.. never tried morris is there any major difference at all with the different brand LHM's..

IMHO it's like engine oil or ant-freeze, provided it meets the spec.; clean, fairly new cheap stuff is always so much better than dirty old expensive stuff.

I agree with Old Guy. Another source overlooked and not readily accessible to urbanites is a Massey Ferguson dealership or a farm machinery parts factor. Several masseys use it for the brakes.

I'll add it to my list of things to look out for at the Gt Dorset Steam Fair next week.

The cheaper it is, the more I'll buy.

Failing that I'll check out my friendly neighbourhood agricultural plant parts place.

IMHO, nowt wrong with Morris's products: Beetle/ Type 2 fans swear by the brand (could be why GSF stock it!)
