Flywheel bolts

Post by Stonehopper »

Is there anybody there . . . ?

GS flywheel bolts 'appear' to be unavailable. Whereas 2cv flywheel bolts are. The 2cv bolts are M8 x 1 x 27. Can anyone confirm they are the same size on the GS engine?

Sorry for the delay, I don't check-in as often as I should do.

Parts book(s) says:

Qty 6.

1GX 75 521 069, TH 9 x 1,25 x 29
1VD 5 507 631, TH 9 x 29 JUNIOR
1GX GX 08 122 01 C, TH 9 x 1,00 x 22 <<1300>> EMBAUT >7/83

So not the same size. I presume they are shanked bolts (half the length threaded) and not fully threaded setscrews and are M9 x 1,25 x 29mm - but check what you have in your hand.

Thank you Mac. They are shank bolts, and specifically 'stretch' bolts, so not supposed to be used twice. Yeah, right. None in hand just now and am using 'used'. Done it before with flywheel bolts, though never with big end bolts (different engine).
