Now why can't buses be that pretty and stylish today? Those Bedford SBs are positively gorgeous :D

Such a difference from the horrid, ugly square things we get today :(

Bit of a fascinating fact I came across to slip in when conversation lulls at a cocktail party...

The original Bedford "Griffin" didn't carry a flag

Image

Then it got a "B" and a flag

Image

Before it got the corporate "V"

Saw quite a nice Renault Captur the other day sort of bronze with cream on top, and here's another modern 2-tone.

Its also a very fast and very expensive 2-tone, and as well as being a 2-tone, its a 2-motor :)
The i8’s performance is quite frankly astonishing for a car with a three-cylinder engine. Generating 227bhp from the petrol part of the hybrid-drive system and 129bhp from an electric motor it can deliver a 0-60 time of just 4.4 seconds......

Take that extraordinary fuel economy figure of 134mpg with a pinch of salt. The standardised EU test leans heavily in favour of hybrid cars and few buyers will replicate the profile of it in normal driving...
I am not a great fan of the "supercar", and an A30 Van is more likely to turn my head to be honest, but there is no doubt that this grabs your attention.

I go exactly like that after a period in the sun... If I am well enough later for a bike ride I'll definitely look like that at the end of today!

My step father was a lucky sod. After a day in the sun he looked like a boiled lobster. The following day he looked like he was hewn from mahogany!

Don't I know it. I got terribly sunburned in Cyprus a few times...

Been out for a decent bike ride today and I really, really ought to have splashed the old factor 50 all around my exposed bits.

Against that though I won't half of generated some vitamin D
