Re the 407 door seal issue and airbag warnings, after a few days of rain and testing with the hose, I gave up as water was still pooling on top of the bottom door seal and then running inside the car.

My solution was to put a few holes thru the seal with a leather hole punch tool which seems to allow the water to exit (the door seal gets squashed...

Hi everyone,
Two years ago I was forced to change rear hydraulic pipes on my ’09 x7 2.2HDi cause one of them leaks. Whereas the pipes was unavailable to buy here I decided to create substitute from original. I was working on it with my colleague. We tested almost 10 pairs during last year and half and we can now manufacture them for C5 X7

I don’t suppose you might consider re manufacturing the steering pipes at all. They come up in the forums time and time again and are no longer available or manufactured by Citroen, I certainly would buy a set or two if they were available.

appears to be a Turkish supplier of hydraulic parts who is attempting to get into the markiet of supplying after-market spares for Xantia parts that are now obsolete. Their pricing seems very reasonable.

A strange query, thoughts welcome.

I had put the explanatory how-we-got-here ramble then the question about aftermarket twin temperature sensors for the 1.6 BlueHDi. I need to look at live Diagbox and report back whether the two temperatures deviate. Just parking here this academic paper page 60 (pdf 82) shows temperature before cat (dotted red) and after (dotted blue) which demonstrates the reaction of the catalyst. I am thinking that is why they have two temperature sensors, and reversal would be bad.

Hi I’m not sure if I’m on the right part to ask a question about my Citroen C3. I’m not very good with things online. I have a 2014 Citroen C3. The EML came on 5 weeks ago. The RAC said I needed a new lambda sensor so took to garage and had this done. 2 days later light came on again and RAC said my spark plugs were broke so paid for 3 new ones....

This is a puzzle...it could just be down to a loose electrical connection. If all those parts have been replaced and still not sorted the problem then that's what I'd go with. I would of initially checked the connectors to everything. And do a complete reset of the system. Citroens are known to have funky electrics

Hi, i have a c4 mk2 1.6hdi and have issues with rough idling and struggling to rev over 3k. I have had error codes P1445 and p3007. I have changed the egr valve and have taken off the bottom part of the dpf and gave it a soak with off car dpf cleaner and power washed out, but still these errors persist and is still sluggish, what else could i look...

Hi, so took the dpf off and soacked it in brick cleaner and rinsed to through with a hose, it's clear, could see daylight through it. Put it all back together, told the ecu it has a new dpf, and was running fine, took it for a blast, and revs smothly, then all of a sudden, it lost power, wouldn't go over 3000 revs (presume this is limp mode)....

Ive had an alarm fault on my 2003 saxo vtr for a while now and have been doing lots of electrical testing to fix it. Battery is fine, alarm itself is fine I think the antenna coil and transponder chip is fine but will have to double check. Was going to bypass the immobiliser to rule it out bit cant seem to find it. The factory immobiliser box is located behind the glovebox, you wont be able to bypass it by twisting a few wires together, bypassing it will require re writing the eeprom inside the engine ECU.
If it’s aftermarket should be easy enough to bypass depending how lazy the fitter has been.

1 month ago i have regassed 6 spheres on my Citroen C5 X7 Tourer, 2.0 HDI 2012.

On the very first ride i have noticed that the suspension became quite stiff, it wasn't as soft as before.

Thinking that one sphere didn't hold the pressure, today i have rechecked the front ones and the pressure is fine.

The only problem i had with the suspension was the rear height sensor rod that was rusted, the hydraulic pump was working permanently on the last height position without finalising it.

The mechanic cleaned the rod, installed it back, did the level and now it goes up fine.

Might be a problem with the sensor itself?

Ok, not new but regassed. I sent my front corner spheres to Pleiades for recharge and they did a champion job and returned very quickly. Repainted too.

I am delighted with the ride quality now - a new front center sphere and now regassed corner spheres, new rear center pair. If only I could actually remove the rear corner spheres I'd have sent...

For the center sphere on the left side, you have to remove the left drive shaft and the 6mm bolt beneath the subframe with hold the airco tube.
Then with a long chisel you can hammer it loose.
It's not really difficult.

Hi FCF Team,

I have looked to see if this question is covered elsewhere, but don't think so? Sorry if being dorf!

On a 2009 Xsara Picasso petrol 1.6 DOHC.

Turn on ignition and even before engine start the car beeps once and the 'ABS fault non-function' message comes up.

After some VNT trouble last year I have the turbo off my DS5 hdi163 (RHH) on the bench for cleaning the VNT vanes. While I'm at it I'd like to test the VNT actuator position sensor as well but it seems I don't seem to get anything sensible out of the three pins.

This is just an open query, and perhaps not enough to justify a thread but there may be opinions ..

Has anyone managed to reduce the noise level of an HDi, either by noise-absorbing material in the engine bay, or some kind of mod? Are some parts of the drivetrain particularly noise generating and amenable to silencing?

I would start with the engine mounts. These can make a big difference in the noise department. I recently changed mine after two years of service and a lot of noise disappeared. I thought there was something wrong with the engine type of noise.

BSI software updated today. The only thing I noticed was I couldn’t lock or unlock the vehicle using the fob. Proximity lock/unlock worked ok. Quick call to the dealer who talked me through fob re initialisation and all is ok.

Just fitted a towbar to the car to tow a small trailer.

The towbar came with a wiring kit which included relay for use when certain circuitry was installed on the car .

The relay supplied is a TEB7AS 7 Way Universal Relay including buzzer.
Is this a necessity on this vehicle or can I just install a buzzer for the indicators?

What is more important is to know whether your VCI (the hardware that plugs into the OBD socket) is full chip and has Rev C chip firmware. Also, what software are you using? Lexia is probably too old even for a 2009 X7 and you need Diagbox. What version of Diagbox are you running?

Hi,
I have recently had the injectors replaced on the above vehicle, however, since replacement, 2 clamps have since snapped.
I have now ordered a complete set of 4 from my local Citroen agent plus matching bolts.
Has anyone else suffered this issue, is it an easy job for a relative novice to replace these at home.

Recently bought myself a 2019 Relay 2.0 HDI 130 to convert myself to a camper.
It has 182k miles and was fleet owned but pretty straight/clean with good service record.
I've done about 500 miles in it since I picked it up and about 250 miles since owning P0087 and P0093 codes for fuel pressure low/leak codes have come on.
