Re the 407 door seal issue and airbag warnings, after a few days of rain and testing with the hose, I gave up as water was still pooling on top of the bottom door seal and then running inside the car.

My solution was to put a few holes thru the seal with a leather hole punch tool which seems to allow the water to exit (the door seal gets squashed...

On Friday evening approaching a roundabout I nearly collided with a car I hadn't seen, thought he must have come from the right while my chatty passenger was rabbiting on braked quite hard, she said Was that your fault?

Those Range Rover values have plummeted recently because of all the thefts in London and elsewhere - good luck trying to get that insured for a reasonable price - it at all! Overpriced junk in any case.

Some of these new models are a tad under £3000 a year to insure excluding London of course!

I think I hit lucky with the spec of my Leaf. It has replaceable light bulbs in the headlights.
An odd spec to me. H13 rather than H4 or H7.

Shopping for the H13’s I am offered a wide range of colours and brightness, and many LED alternatives, no doubt with a little extra paraphernalia to make them work.

Gas Boilers are soon to become persona non grata, and go the way of the internal combustion engine. The only alternative purported is either direct electric heating or heat pumps ground and air source, together with better insulation.

So what do I know about heat pumps. Not very much and its probably all wrong. Here is a back of a postage stamp...

I have had a number of offers of a free heat pump installation as I am on pension credit but I will not be applying because the cost of running one will be far more than my existing oil boiler even with oil at its present price.

A ground source heat pump is somewhat of a better deal as it will still be efficient when the temperature is below...

I had a Peugeot 207 that randomly cut out... Took me six months to find it - a bad earth... One to the body that had been painted so it acted as an insulator rather than an earth...

Who has seen the new, all electric, Citroen Ami?

I've been following this with interest and am really keen to be able to buy one as I believe it will cater for the majority of my journeys and will allow me to stop doing short runs in my V6's!

In France it costs €6000 which is £5054, top speed is 26mph, and it has a range of 47 miles from it's...

I have a Windows 7 Internet PC on my desk at work. You can guarantee that every time you want to get off quickly on shutting down Windows 7 for the day it'll announce it has a load of updates to install before shutting down.

This afternoon was one such. I wanted to be off punctually...

A dull misty morning then the sun came out, chucked a pile of washing in the machine, half way through the cycle crash bang wallop and the machine dies.
It's in a tight position and weighs a ton, struggled to get it out, back cover off, the drive belt is off and part shredded, the shreds are tied firmly in a knot around the motor shaft. :twisted:...

Had to pop into Monmouth this afternoon, they've changed pretty well all the road signs into and around the town to 20 Mph limits, on the way out I see that they still have 30 Mph signs on the same roads. :?

Yes I heard the same, but they won't do it because they'll be chaos!

Like other things in the news, they've allegedly lied about the figures - I heard one source, possibly NHS data saying it made no difference to road safety accidents in areas where they had this already in other parts.

Seems to be buggered, gets to to the screen then the progress wheel will go no further, spent most of the day yesterday fiddling with it, the built in fix programmes ask for a password but none work. :evil:

Infinite patience a different hard drive and windows reinstalled has finally got it running again, guy at the local computer shop wanted me to give him £85 just to look at it. :(
